How long will your information be kept for?

Parking scheme administration

For the effective management of the parking schemes information will be held in line with our retention schedule.

Permits

Information held for one year after permit account is no longer required (for example, resident moves away).

Pay and display

Vehicle registration number information will be kept for 12 months. Financial information will be kept for 6 years.

Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) management and debt recovery

Non-financial information will be kept for one year after PCN closed.

Financial information will be kept for 6 years after PCN is closed.

Witness statements will be kept for 6 years after PCN closed.

Enforcement agent records for 2 years after PCN closed.

Consultations

Your personal data is kept for 18 months.

Access protection marking applications

We will keep details of your application for 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the marking was installed or the application rejected. Disabled bay applications

We will keep details of your application for 6 years after the end of the financial year that the bay was installed or when the bay ceases to be used or when the application was rejected if sooner. Where a bay is installed, we will keep your contact details, the location of the bay and when it was installed until we receive confirmation that the bay is no longer in use by the original applicant.

Requests for new parking controls

Information is kept for 6 years and then deleted manually from spreadsheets and automatically from online forms. Paper copies are disposed of as confidential waste.
