Supported housing

Supported housing is accommodation with round-the-clock care and support. It is suitable for people under 65 who have:

  • learning disabilities
  • a mental or physical health condition
  • a physical disability or sensory loss

To be considered for supported housing, you must have a Care Act needs assessment which shows you are eligible.

Other types of supported housing

Temporary accommodation with on-site support is short term supported housing for:

  • young people at risk of homelessness
  • young mothers with housing needs
  • homeless people and families
  • women at risk of domestic abuse
  • people who are experiencing mental health issues
