Renewing an older persons bus pass



March 2026 renewals

  • If you have moved tell us about a change, the deadline for telling us is 28 February 2026. Passes may be sent to the wrong address if you have not notified us and there may be a charge for replacement.
  • Older Person’s bus pass - normally automatically renewed. They may not be renewed automatically if your pass is not scanned locally between 1 March 2025 and 01 March 2026. If you haven’t received a pass or a renewal letter 2-3 weeks before renewal you can try to renew online or contact us if you are unable to do so.
  • Disabled person’s bus pass renewals - letters are being sent for customers do not have automatic renewals agreed, but you can renew online without a letter. If you haven’t received a pass or a renewal letter 2-3 weeks before renewal you can try to renew online or contact us if you are unable to do so.

Bus passes are issued for up to five years. If you have scanned your pass in the 12 months before renewal we will send you a new one automatically, this will arrive a few weeks before your current pass expires.

  • If your pass has not been scanned locally in the 12 months before renewal it will not be automatically renewed.
  • If you have moved and not notified us it may not have been renewed or may have been sent to the wrong address. See tell us about a change.

Please note online renewals can only be made 8 weeks before renewal and up to 2.5 years after expiry.
