Brighton-Saltdean-Peacehaven-Newhaven-Seaford-Beachy Head-Eastbourne

Service frequency has reverted to its Autumn and Winter levels. The five return journeys on Mondays to Fridays and hourly Saturday service ended on 31 August.

The half-hourly Sunday and public holiday service will reduce to an hourly timetable from 3 November (in Autumn and Winter 2023/24 the Sunday service was three journeys in each direction).

Brighton-Universities-Lewes-Ringmer-Broyle Estate-Laughton-Hailsham-District General Hosp-Eastbourne

Evening and Sunday journeys will now also serve Polegate and Eastbourne, matching the Monday to Saturday daytime route which runs between Brighton, Lewes, Ringmer, Laughton, Hailsham, Polegate, District General Hospital and Eastbourne. These newly extended hourly journeys are being provided on a commercial basis by Brighton & Hove Buses.

Other timing changes to improve punctuality.

An additional bus now runs between Hailsham and Ringmer King’s Academy on schooldays to cater for an increase in the number of school pupils travelling,

The extended route between Broyle Estate and Eastbourne (with the exception of the new evening and Sunday journeys between Hailsham and Eastbourne) is funded by UK Government until March 2026, following ESCC’s successful bid for Bus Service Improvement Plan funding.

A development contribution funds the additional bus between Hailsham and Ringmer King’s Academy on schooldays.
