Bus Service Changes
Bus service updates in East Sussex. Funding for bus services will include funding through the Department for Transport, funding through East Sussex County Council and funding through commercial bus operators. Franchised services do not operate in East Sussex.
East Sussex County Council was awarded £41.4m from the government to implement its Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) bid.
The plan sets out to offer residents and visitors the highest possible quality bus services. That is frequent with a comprehensive choice. The aim is to reduce congestion, and make a positive contribution to health through better air quality and decarbonisation. Two-thirds of this funding is for capital - that is, infrastructure improvements. Other funding supports operators to run services they would otherwise be unable to do.
Updates are listed by district or borough on this page. You can choose a printable version [click the links in the box] or read an online version [click the links outside a box, these appear on the left on a PC or laptop].
For detailed changes to services and timetables please check bus operators websites, apps and timetables. You can also check QR codes at bus stops (funded through BSIP) for buses due.

East Sussex County Council continue to support the county's bus network using BSIP and other funding. Operators continue to face challenges due to low fare revenue and increased costs.
