Other's role in managing flood risk

We understand that there are a wide variety of organisations involved in managing flood risk and drains and knowing who to contact can be difficult.

The Flood and Water Management Act 2010 named seven (7) types of organisations as "Risk Management Authorities" (RMAs). These are organisations responsible for delivering the national government's policies on flood risk and coastal erosion. RMAs work together and with other stakeholders to manage flood risk and protect communities.

This page lists all the RMAs working in East Sussex, summarises their responsibilities and provides contact details for them.
