1.    Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Deputy Returning Officer, Lewes District Council, 6 High Street, Lewes, BN7 2AD, during the times stated below.

2.    Nomination papers must be delivered to the Deputy Returning Officer at Lewes District Council, 6 High Street, Lewes, BN7 2AD, between 9am and 4pm on any working day after the publication of this notice (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Thursday, 9th April 2026.

3.    If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 7th May 2026 between the hours of 7.00am and 10.00pm.

4.    Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday, 20th April 2026. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

5.    Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Lewes District Council, Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4UG by 5pm on Tuesday, 21st April 2026. Applications to vote by post can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote

6.    Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Lewes District Council, Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4UG by 5pm on Tuesday, 28th April 2026. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

7.    Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Lewes District Council, Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4UG by 5pm on Tuesday, 28th April 2026. Applications to vote by proxy can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote

8.    Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of a physical incapacity, work or service reasons, or for lost or damaged photo ID, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Lewes District Council, 6 High Street, Lewes, BN7 2AD, by 5pm on Thursday, 7th May 2026.
