If you have more than £23, 250 in savings and assets, you will need to pay the full cost of your care.

Residential and nursing care

The cost of a care home depends on the level of care you need and how much the home charges.

If you have over £23,250 you will pay the full cost of your care.

Home care

Home care costs vary depending on where you live.

You can expect to pay around £30 per hour if you are paying for your own care.

Lifeline alarms, monitors and sensors

There is a small weekly charge for technology enabled care. It costs up to £3.85 for monitoring. You may also be eligible for help with the cost.
