Crisis and Resilience Fund

In December 2025, the central UK government announced a new fund called the Crisis and Resilience Fund.

The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) has been made available to local authorities in England by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

The fund is intended to help people on low incomes when they face sudden money problems, as well as supporting activities and initiatives that help people and communities become more financially secure.

This funding will run for 3 years, from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.

East Sussex County Council will now be working with partners across the county to ensure that services are accessible to those who need it most.
