What are we doing?
Bus Interchange
- Creation of a new bus interchange at Denton Corner between Denton Roundabout and Mount Road Service Road to improve access to bus services and support more reliable journeys.
- Introduction of new bus stops and passenger facilities within the interchange to improve accessibility and support a wider range of bus services, including routes that do not currently serve Denton Corner.
- New pedestrian and cycle facilities through the interchange to improve connectivity and access for all users.
Bus Priority Measures
- Introduction of new bus lanes on the A259 Seaford Road approach to Denton Roundabout and around the roundabout itself to improve bus journey times and reliability.
- Bus lanes will also be available for use by cyclists and licensed hackney carriage taxis to support safer and more efficient journeys.
Traffic Management Changes
- Introduction of new waiting restrictions on parts of Mount Road and Station Road to improve visibility, maintain access and support the safe operation of bus services.
- Introduction of new one-way traffic arrangements within the bus interchange to improve traffic circulation and road safety.
- Extension of the existing 40mph speed limit on A259 Seaford Road to support the revised highway layout and improve road safety.
