Rother review 3
Information and updates about the Rother parking review which began in March 2025.
Current stage
Stage 5 – Implementation. We are arranging for the changes to be made and the traffic regulation order to be sealed. This stage is weather dependent as lining work can only be carried out in dry weather.
Update June 2026
- The work to install all the parking restrictions is taking longer than expected. The changes will be completed and go live on 3 August 2026.
- Zone F will not be going live on 3 August 2026.
- We have become aware of an error with advertising the parking charges for zone F. When the proposals for zone F were advertised and consulted on the proposed charges were not included. This means we need to consult on the paid parking charges before the zone can come into effect.
- The parking signs in zone F have been covered to avoid any confusion. For reference, a map is available of the new zone F and the existing zones [888.1 KB] [pdf].
- The Rother Parking Review 3 - Zone F tariffs consultation will start on 10 July 2026 and close on 31 July 2026.
Until the Zone F tariffs consultation is completed, we cannot give a new start date for zone F.

Information and updates about the Rother parking review which began in May 2026.
Current stage
Stage 1 - Prioritisation. All of the requests received up to 30 April 2026 are being assessed and prioritised. We expect to complete the prioritisation by the end of July 2026.
