Offer of a place
Decisions are sent on the national offer day. We won’t give an early decision under any circumstances.
National offer days are:
- Secondary: 2nd March 2026
- Infant, primary or junior: 16 April 2026
We send decisions on allocation day by email if you applied online or we have an email address for you, or by letter if not.
The allocated school will contact you within 10 days and explain how to accept the place.
We recommend that you accept the allocated place. This will not affect your statutory right of appeal nor any request for your child’s name to be put on a waiting list for another school. If you turn down the place at the allocated school, your child may be left without a school place.
In-year applications
For in-year applications, you should receive a response from each school within 10 days. If you have applied for an own admissions school, they will contact you directly.
