CYPT annual report 2020

The annual report was co-produced with partners in the Children and Young People’s Trust (CYPT). Through a series of webinars there were discussions about:

  • the CYPT plan Children and Young People’s Plan
  • Troubled Families (TF) programme and development of Early Help System Guide (EHSG) topics The Revised Early Help Strategy

The CYPT has committed to the following key areas for development:

1. Information sharing and networking:

  • Provide more opportunities to share information and network
  • work with businesses, schools and colleges on whole family working

2. Co-location and integration:

  • Consider ways to integrate or co-locate with partners
  • strengthen whole family and whole system approach in localities

3. Community information:

  • Consider ways to share information tailored to the community

4. Workforce:

  • Continue to provide workforce development opportunities
  • work with partners to provide learning and development

5. Coordinate activities:

  • Improve co-ordination of activities in places/localities
  • make the best possible use of collective resources

6. Promoting equality

  • Involve children, young people and families to help promote equality
  • share the learning from the Sussex Health and Care Partnership Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) Covid-19 Disparities Response Programme

7. Voice of children and families:

  • Create ways for children, young people and their families to give their views

8. Digital exclusion:

  • Plan to address the digital exclusion of vulnerable families

9.Data sharing:

  • Share data with partners when beneficial to the families – including joint wellbeing and outcomes measures
  • develop systems to better use partnership data

10. Leadership:

  • Work to strengthen the whole system approach through partnership in local governance arrangements
  • develop better partnerships with District and Borough Council and the voluntary sector
