The story centres around Mike's family who fostered for many years. Mike's wife organises a surprise 60th birthday party for him, and invites friends, family and some of the children they fostered who have stayed in touch and are now adults.

Memories are shared at this gathering in the garden of the house the family still lives in. There are many happy memories of course and some which highlight the emotional journeys fostering brings. We see strong bonds formed between the foster carers and two particular foster children, Will and Zara, from their arrival at the house to the present day.

This is an honest representation of how challenges are overcome and life-long bonds are formed. The narrative is a tribute to everyone involved in the foster care system and the difference each and every person makes to the lives of many. It is an emotional exploration of love, resilience, connections and positivity.

If you have ever considered fostering, we hope that after watching this film you take the next step and contact us to begin your own fostering journey. We will work together at your pace so please do enquire now.
