Consumer advice and making complaints

Under a National Government initiative, consumer and general business advice is provided by fully trained staff at the Citizens Advice Consumer Service on behalf of Trading Standards.

Their helpline is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm – contact them on 0808 223 1133.

For contact over the weekend you can use the online form. They're available from 5pm on Fridays to 9am on Mondays.

All information supplied to the helpline is forwarded to Trading Standards. This helps us to target our work and decide what actions are necessary to ensure businesses trade fairly and consumers are protected.
