Restricting someone’s freedom
If you are worried that somebody’s care in a care home or hospital is too restrictive, you should contact us.
Examples may include:
- not being allowed out unsupervised
- bed rails or lap belts are being used to restrict movement
- around-the-clock supervision
If this is being done without the proper authority to do so, this is called an unauthorised deprivation of liberty.
