Carer’s personal budget
The carer’s personal budget is a one-off payment you may receive, as a carer for an adult. It is used to meet your eligible needs where they cannot be met in other ways. You could use the payment for:
- leisure activities
- education and training
- improving your own care or wellbeing
You’ll need to have a carer’s assessment to find out if you are eligible.
More about the carer’s personal budget
- The amount you get will depend on your needs based on the carer’s assessment we do with you.
- You cannot use it to pay for goods or services you have already bought, or to pay for utilities and household bills.
