Getting involved in community transport

Volunteer for local schemes

Community transport relies on local volunteers to help with bookings, fundraising and driving. A few hours of your time could make a difference to your community. Contact your local community transport operator for more information.

Voluntary car schemes

A voluntary car scheme is where individuals in a community can use their own vehicles to provide transport locally.

In order to help local communities set these schemes up the Rother Voluntary Action group have worked in partnership with us to create the Voluntary Car Scheme Toolkit. The toolkit is a step by step guide on how to go about setting a scheme up in your community.
