To get to the Cycle Centre you can either come through the main gates (if open) onto the track, our centre is located to the right-hand side of the track. Or you can come into the main Sports Park reception who will be able to guide you to where we are.
The nearest train station is Hampden Park, around a 20-minute walk from station to Eastbourne Sports Park.

We are located next door to The Gateway Cafe.
To get to the Cycle Hub you can come to the main entrance of the Big Park, our hub is located to the right-hand side of the path.
By Car/road:
From the A259, turn into Piddinghoe Avenue, go straight over at the mini roundabout and continue along the road to the park. Past the bowling club and football club, you will find parking on the right.
Become a professional cycling instructor
We at East Sussex Cycle Training work in partnership with Outspoken as a Recognised Delivery Centre (RDC). Whether you would like to be a Cycle Trainer as your full-time job or you just want to pass on some skills at your local school or youth club, undertaking the National Standard Instructor training is the first step.
Step 1 – four day course
The course covers all aspects of cycle training with reference to the National Standard outcomes and risk management. Participants receive provisional accreditation. The course includes:
- four day course with two qualified instructor trainers
- course materials (workbook, manual and model documentation)
- registration on the National Database
Step 2 – post-course assessment (PCA) within six months of your course
The PCA gives you full accreditation while we observe you working with real trainees where you work.
- usually takes place over two sessions
- we support you and agree targets for your final evaluation

We offer a comprehensive range of Bikeability courses, during most school holidays.
These courses take place at our Eastbourne Cycle Centre and Peacehaven Cycle Hub.

Bikeability Level 1 - Usually takes place on Monday - 10.00-12.00
For Ages 6+ (Recommended)
Group Session - Maximum of 12

Have you mastered the art of balance with no stabilisers? Then you’re ready for Level 1.

A bridging session between Level 2 & Level 3 to prepare the rider for the advanced training that L3 offers. You must have achieved Level 2 before signing onto Level 2Plus.

Whizzabilty Family Fun - Usually takes place on Wednesday - 14.00-16.00
For all ages (Including adults)
Group Session - Maximum of 30
Cost £6.00 per person
A family Fun Cycling Session. Bikes and helmets supplied. (Or you are welcome to bring your own)

4 Hour MTB group ride for novices and those new to MTB riding. Starts and finishes in Friston Forest, including a fun MTB skills section. Meet and collect at Butchers Hole Car Park, Friston Forest. (Route can be subject to change due to conditions).
