Community Focused Road Safety Schemes
Community Focused Road Safety Schemes
In February 2022, Councillor Claire Dowling approved the re-allocation of £750,000 from the current Community Match underspend. This funding will deliver community focused road safety interventions across the County. A copy of the report can be found at Agenda for Lead Member for Transport and Environment on Monday, 21st February, 2022, 10.00 am
All road safety concerns are assessed against the relevant criteria. A two-stage appraisal process has been approved for community focused interventions.

We are working with our contractor to deliver the above improvements during 2024.
We will carry out monitoring at these locations, to understand what works well. This will better inform our work going forward.
The Road Safety Team will assess requests for next years' programme as they receive them. During Spring 2024, we will identify schemes for implementation during 2024/25.
