Driver and Passenger Assistant ID Badges
Staff working on East Sussex County Council (ESCC) contracted home to school transport (HTST) arrangements must carry and display their ESCC ID badge at all times. ID badges are issued subject to safeguarding checks including the Government’s Data and Barring Service (DBS) - GOV.UK.

This form will allow operators to supply Driver and Passenger Assistant (PA) safeguarding and DBS check information for staff they intend to allocate to HTST contracted routes, including:
- existing HTST staff allocated to new HTST routes
- existing HTST staff moving between existing routes
- new staff allocated to HTST routes
- reserve staff.
Staff may not be allocated to HTST routes until approved by the ESCC Transport Hub and an ESCC ID badge is issued.
ESCC has a duty to maintain accurate records of all contracted staff working on HTST routes for audit purposes. Operators must be prepared to provide complete and accurate records of all staff allocated to current HTST routes when required.
