East Sussex Age Verification App
East Sussex age verification app
We have developed an age verification app to allow young people easier and quicker access to Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) age-related fare reductions.
The app requires the user to enter their name, date of birth and upload ID for verification purposes.
This ID can be a drivers license, passport, PASS card, birth certificate and information is then checked to verify the user's age. If the user is found to be within a suitable age band they will be able to access the age-related fare reductions.
The age bands used in the East Sussex BSIP fare reductions are:
- Below 19
- 19 to 29
The East Sussex BSIP fare reductions offers are valid on most bus services* that run through the County of East Sussex. All trips must either start or end in the East Sussex County Council area, with the first trip of the day starting in East Sussex.
Individual journeys that are wholly within another County Council area are not covered by the East Sussex BSIP fare reductions offers.
*Please check our Lower Fares page for operators or services covered by the scheme and for more information on the fare reduction offers.
