Our staff are trained to handle your information correctly and protect your confidentiality and privacy.

Your information is processed outside of the European Economic Area.

We use Granicus, a third party, to process the data that we collect.

They are based in the United States. and have signed up to the Privacy Shield agreement, which means they are bound by European law regarding handling of data.

How long will your information be kept for?

We will keep your data until:

  • you unsubscribe
  • we no longer send updates from the topic you are subscribed to.

Sharing your information

Your data will only be used by East Sussex County Council for the purposes of keeping you up to date with the topic that you have subscribed to.

Any sharing of personal data is always done:

  • on case-by-case basis
  • using the minimum personal data necessary
  • with the appropriate security controls in place
  • in line with legislation.
