What information is being used?
We will collect and process your name and contact details (this will include postal address, email address and phone number.
How will your information be used?
We will process these details and pass them onto the contractors in order to complete the project and ensure you receive the most appropriate communication for this to happen successfully. We will only disclose information that is vital for the project to be completed.
We aim to maintain high standards, adopt best practice for our record keeping and regularly check and report on how we are doing. Your information is never sold for direct marketing purposes.
Our staff are trained to handle your information correctly and protect your confidentiality and privacy.
Your information is processed in the UK or in a country with an adequacy agreement with the UK.
What is the legal basis for processing your information?
Article 6(1)(e) – Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Council on the basis of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
The processing of your data is carried out on the basis of public interest in completing the project. The processing of the data is necessary to achieving effective communication throughout the project and engagement between contractors and residents. The minimum amount of data is collected and used only for this purpose.
How long will your information be kept for?
We will keep the information and details for 6 years from the completion of the project.
Sharing your information
The information you provide will only be shared with the survey contractors and the installation contractors to provide the services needed to complete the project.
Any sharing of personal data is always done:
- on case-by-case basis
- using the minimum personal data necessary
- with the appropriate security controls in place
- in line with legislation.
Information is only shared with those agencies and bodies who have a "need to know" or where you have consented to the sharing of your personal data to such persons.
We may use the information we hold about you to assist in the detection and prevention of crime or fraud. We may also share this information with other bodies that inspect and manage public funds.
