Would you like the opportunity to support vulnerable children and young people with medical needs in Key stage 3 and 4 to reintegrate back to school? 

An opportunity has arisen for the following three permanent practitioner posts within the Teaching and Learning Provision:

  • 1 x practitioner based at the Battle TLP centre
  • 2 x practitioner based at the Eastbourne TLP centre

The T&L Provision works with students unable to attend school for reasons of ill health, both physical and mental and works in partnership with the student’s school and medical professionals to deliver a personalised short-term education package whilst the student cannot attend school.

You will act as a key worker for individual students focusing on developing a programme of reintegration back to the named school, which includes monitoring attendance and supporting the development of student’s social and emotional skills.  You will also support the day to day tasks of the TLP centre.

These posts are 31.5 hours per week, 8.45am-3.30pm, term-time only and are paid pro-rata, the annual salary is approximately £15,192 

You will need a full driving licence and access to car.

Please note the shortlisting for this post will be on the 3rd October and the interviews will take place at the Eastbourne centre on the 14 October 2022

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
