The role involves working with adults, their carers and families, within their communities and using a strengths-based approach. We look to enable people to identify the outcomes they want to achieve and the resources they can access alongside appropriately applying theory and legislation.   We have opportunities available for Newly Qualified Social Workers to join our excellent Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme 2024-2025. Positions are within our community teams across the County who support and safeguard adults with a range of care and support needs.

Who is eligible to apply for the ASYE programme? You need to have completed your social work qualification, will be in able to register with Social Work England by September 2024, and not have previously completed an ASYE programme elsewhere.  The post requires that you can meet the travel requirements across the county of East Sussex. We warmly welcome applicants who are compassionate ambitious, creative, and professionally curious from all sections of the community, and particularly encourage those from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, and male social workers to further develop our diverse workforce. We are working towards recruiting a workforce that better reflects our community and recognises the unique skills that everyone brings.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
