We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Sports Coach on a fixed-term contract for this academic year, to plan and deliver PE lessons in line with our PE curriculum working alongside class teachers and teaching assistants, and to deliver extra-curricular activities outside of normal school hours.

As a Sports Coach at St. Michael's you will need the flexibility and skills to plan and deliver lessons that are appropriate to the age and aptitude of the children, to establish supportive relationships with pupils, and to encourage all children to fully participate in and enjoy PE lessons and in so doing, promote with all stakeholders, healthy lifestyles. You will also be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and evidencing the impact of the Primary PE and Sports Premium.
The job entails:
Working 17 hours per week which entails working across two days per week (days to be negotiated), 8:30 am to 5.00 pm. During the school day, planning and delivering PE lessons across all key stages; at the end of the school day, delivering after-school sports club provision.

We are looking for someone who:
- has a good standard of English and Maths - GCSE grade 'C' or above
- has knowledge and experience of working with children
- is highly motivated and can work alone or as part of a team
-is committed to raising standards and delivering high quality sports provision
- understands the National Curriculum PE requirements
- can adapt lessons to conditions at short notice
- has a working knowledge of the Primary PE and Sport Premium funding requirements
Salary details are as follows: Single Status Grade 7, Points 18 to 19 pro rata term time only, 39 weeks. (Actual salary £8,966 to £9,226)
