Washable nappies

Our household waste recycling sites (‘tips’) have reopened. However, with social distancing necessary, the service is restricted, there may be queues, and you should only travel to a site if absolutely necessary. See Coronavirus – rubbish and recycling in East Sussex.

Mountfield Household Waste Recycling Site - due to road traffic works on the A2100 between 29 June to 26 July, the site can only be accessed from the south/Battle direction.

Using washable nappies instead of disposable nappies is great for the environment and can save you money too.

Around 4% of the waste we currently throw away are nappies. Modern washables are easy to use with a wide range to choose from.

See the Go Real website for further information on how to get started.

Wealden residents can access Wealden District Council’s free washable nappy trial kit.
