Polegate movement and access strategy

The Polegate Movement and Access Strategy Strategic Junction Review was completed in November 2013 and then revisited (to include local roads) in January 2015.

The studies have been used to inform East Sussex County Council (and Wealden District Council) about the transport infrastructure required in Polegate, Stone Cross and Willingdon to support developments recently constructed and future development (up to 2027 as part of the Wealden District Council Core Strategy).

The document identifies a number of mitigating measures ranging from alterations to junctions on the A27 and reconfigurations of traffic light junctions to improvements to the public realm, cycling facilities and pedestrian crossings.
