We understand that there are a wide variety of organisations involved in managing flood risk and drains and knowing who to contact can be difficult. This page tries to summarise the main flood risk and drainage aspects each one is responsible for and provides contact details for them.
East Sussex County Council Flood Risk Management team

Local Planning Authorities
Local planning authorities deal with the overwhelming majority of development proposals in their local authority area. Please contact your local planning authority if you have any questions regarding:
- Planning consultation responses (including those from the LLFA).

- Concerns regarding work happening on a development site that you think does not have permission.
