What to do if your child is ill

If your child has a minor illness, they can still go to school. The school will send them home if they need to.
- Use this guide to illnesses (NHS) to see when you might need to keep your child off school.
- If you keep your child off school, tell the school as soon as possible. The school may ask for medical evidence.
- If your child has a long-term illness, the school can help in different ways. They may also arrange Teaching for sick children.
