School records
Every school keeps records about the students who go there. These records show:
- what students have done or achieved
- their attendance
- their behaviour
- any letters you or your family have sent to the school
East Sussex County Council does not keep these records for individual students.
When a child moves to another school, their record should go with them to the new school.
If you need a record from a closed school, you can contact the Customer Service and Information Governance Officer. They may not always have it, but they will try to help you.
