Homes for Ukraine scheme pre-arrivals form

Change to 'thank you' payments

As of 1 October 2024, close family members of Homes for Ukraine visa holders are not eligible to start claiming thank you payments. This applies to new arrivals and those who are already in the UK and move in with a close family member. See Hosting someone already in the UK - GOV.UK

This form is for East Sussex residents only, and is for you to tell us about your household details so that all the checks can be initiated.

Thank you for offering to be a host and provide a home to Ukrainian refugees.

By offering a home to people fleeing Ukraine, you and your household members are becoming ‘sponsors’ as part of the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

As hosts (sponsors) are matched with guests, we need to know a bit more about your household so we can carry out basic background checks for safety and get in touch with you if needed.

These checks will need to be carried out for all sponsors in your household, even if:

  • any of you have had similar background checks before
  • or your guests will be staying in different accommodation to your own home.

You should provide this information even if your guests are already with you. (You do not need to include the guests' details on this form.)

Thank you for your generous support.

To find out about how we use your data for the Homes for Ukraine scheme, please read our privacy notice.

This includes: a spouse, civil partner or unmarried partner; a parent; a parent-in-law; a son or daughter; a son- or daughter-in-law; a step-son or daughter; a sibling; a grandparent; or the spouse, civil partner or unmarried partner of any of these people. For unaccompanied minors, this also includes an aunt or uncle of the child.

Please complete the rest of this form and also submit an arrivals form.
