Rubbish and recycling collections from your home

Wealden bin strike

The Wealden bin strike has now ended, but our household waste recycling sites (tips) remain busy as residents continue to clear their backlog of waste. Please be patient and expect to queue and be respectful to staff. Please help us to recycle by continuing to separate your waste.

Your refuse, recycling and garden waste collection service from home is provided by your local district or borough council (not ourselves at the County Council). You will need to contact them about:

  • the collection of rubbish, recycling and garden waste from your home
  • litter clearance, litter bins
  • providing mini recycling points

They will be able to let you know when your bin day is; order new bins; and explain how their scheme works.

For further information and to contact your district or borough council, please refer to their website:

If you’re not sure which district or borough council to contact, check Find your local authority – GOV.UK.
