Book a visit to the tip
From 24 November 2025, you must book a slot to visit all household waste recycling sites in East Sussex. The quickest and easiest way to book is using our online booking system.
You can book to visit on the same day, and up to two weeks in advance.
Everyone must book - drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. Please note, some sites do not allow pedestrian and cyclist access.
When you visit a recycling site
You can arrive at any time in your 30-minute slot.
If you arrive late we might not let you in. This is to avoid holding up other people who arrive on time. We'll try to fit you in if there’s space in the next slot.
Sometimes you may have to wait while we empty the waste containers. We will allow you to use the tip as soon as the site reopens, even if your booked slot has passed.
If asked, please show your:
- booking confirmation
- identification for proof of residency in East Sussex
- hire vehicle paperwork, if applicable

People who live outside East Sussex
We charge non-East Sussex residents £8.75 per visit to use one of our 10 recycling centres. Payment is taken on the day of the visit by debit or credit card. Read more details for people who live outside East Sussex.
