Seahaven Academy’s school bus services have been replaced by new route 492 (serving Newhaven Paradise Park, Denton Corner and Newhaven Station) and route 494 (serving East Saltdean, Telscombe Cliffs and Peacehaven). Both services run mornings and afternoons.

Due to the additional service costs in fitting in with Seahaven Academy’s new times, it is much more cost-effective to use a double deck bus on route 492 to replace previous routes 492 and 493. This means South Heighton and the estate roads to the east of Avis Road can no longer be served.
