The magnificent Durbar Hall at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery is a unique venue for weddings and civil ceremonies.
Built in 1886 for the Indian & Colonial Exhibition, the Durbar Hall offers a unique venue for weddings, civil partnerships, naming ceremonies, commitment ceremonies or renewal of vows. This stunning hall comprises of two floors and a lantern roof. The stairway, with arched balcony from the upper floor, offers a dramatic entrance to the ground floor. Carved in teak and deodar cedar by two skilled workers from the Punjab accompanied by glowing stained-glass windows, the Durbar Hall creates an intimate and enchanting atmosphere for your special occasion.
Opportunities for photography in the grounds outside the museum are superb with lawns, flowerbeds and a stone loggia all providing an elegant backdrop.
