Eastbourne Town Hall
Built in the 1800's, this magnificent Victorian building is home to Eastbourne Register Office. The grandeur of the building is clear from the moment you approach the impressive stone portico and the 130-foot clock tower. Inside, a stained glass window illuminates the stunning grand staircase. There are four ceremony rooms which can accommodate ceremonies from 2 to 78 guests.
Room capacities include everyone except the registrars, the couple, all guests including witnesses, children and babies, photographers, videographers and musicians. The capacities are determined by fire regulations and cannot be exceeded.
There are no changing facilities at the town hall, you and your guests should arrive dressed and ready for the ceremony.
Ceremony rooms
Mayor's Parlour
Capacity: 20 (couple plus 18)
The Mayor's Parlour, a unique circular room located on the first floor inside the town hall's bell tower. This intimate room is an ideal choice for smaller celebrations, featuring a beautiful domed ceiling and two ornate sofas.
Southbourne Suite
Capacity: 40 (couple plus 38)
Behind large wooden doors is the elegant Southbourne Suite, a stylish, ground floor room decorated in teal and duck egg blue. It features striking peacock-print wallpaper, a magnificent chandelier, and seating for 28 guests.
Council Chamber
Capacity: 60 (couple plus 58)
The Council Chamber is a beautiful oak-panelled room adorned with paintings and portraits. It features rich red carpet and chairs, a central aisle, and seating for up to 58 guests. This room is located on the first floor and is available for weekend ceremonies.
Court Room
Capacity: 80 (couple plus 78)
The Court Room is the largest ceremony room, accommodating up to 78 guests. Located on the ground floor of the town hall, this room is decorated in blue and yellow, illuminated by two chandeliers, and is available for weekend ceremonies.
Fees
Ceremony fees include hire of the ceremony room, your registrars, two legal certificates and one commemorative certificate.
Parking
There is no allocated parking at the town hall. Paid parking is available on the surrounding streets, or at Eastbourne station, which is a 10 minute walk away. There is a drop off point directly outside the town hall.
