The Council recently carried out a public consultation at Ringmer Swimming Pool. The consultation ran from 23 May 2022 until 15 August 2022. The consultation responses were incorporated into a report which was submitted to the Lead Member meeting on 8 November 2022. The link to the meeting minutes and decision are below:
Uckfield Leisure Centre
East Sussex County Council, as freeholder of Uckfield Leisure Centre, has agreed to offer an extended lease to Wealden District Council so that the site may continue to be used as a swimming pool and other community leisure facilities.
The 19-year lease would also enable students at Uckfield Community College to continue using the centre as part of their education.
Officers from both councils have worked with partners over many months to finalise the arrangement.
