We are developing a new L2 Keywork Team that will have a huge positive impact to the children and families of East Sussex.

If this would be of interest to you, then apply below to join us and become part of our ambitious and successful Early Help 0-19 Service.

We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer sponsorship of visas for this position, so we won’t be able to continue with your application unless you have the right to work in the UK.

The role will deliver short term support focusing on increasing attendance at school – the Team will work with children and young people where school attendance has dropped below 50%, working with families in their homes to overcome the barriers to attending education.

Working in the keyworker role you will be responsible for delivering a range of interventions with families on your caseload. You will complete assessments with each family and develop an Early Help Plan that identifies clear and measurable targets. You will then work closely with family members providing targeted support to assist them to make the changes identified in the Plan.

The people we are looking for will have a QCF level 3 qualification in a relevant subject e.g community development, health and social care, counselling, childcare, youthwork. This role will suit someone who is able to manage their own time and caseload and values being out in the community more than being in an office.

To apply for this role please follow the ‘Apply Now’ button above. We want to make the process as simple as possible, so are only asking for you to send us a CV and brief cover letter.  Please be sure to highlight the areas mentioned below.

They key areas that we are looking for and we will be shortlisting based upon are:

  • Evidence of undertaking assessments and developing plans for families / children.
  • Understanding the issues impacting on vulnerable children and their families
  • Knowledge of safeguarding processes

For detailed information on the role, please read the job description attached.

Interviews will be scheduled within two weeks of the job advert closing and will be face to face or remotely via Microsoft Teams. We will try to accommodate any special requests for the interview slot if you are shortlisted for the role.

We offer a great package of professional training to develop you and to give you the ‘tools to do the job’. If you do not have a L4 Qualification you will have the opportunity to undertake a recognised qualification within your work time.

You will be part of a Team of L2 Keyworkers and will receive good supervision from an experienced manager.

We offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page.
