Supporting the people of Hastings and Rother

We're seeking a Financial Inclusion Adviser to deliver advice helping people address the financial challenges they're facing. The post will be based in St Leonards or Bexhill.

You'll join a team of highly skilled advisers delivering advice sessions to both individuals and groups, engaging them on topics covering debt prevention, money management, and energy advice. You'll help them develop skills such as budgeting, using bank accounts, and assist with benefits checks to help maximise their income.

In this role you will:

  • Use sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients.
  • Continue learning and gaining experience every day;
  • Work with a range of different people, independently and in a team;
  • Make a real difference in people’s quality of life and have a positive impact in your community.

This is an opportunity for someone with previous experience working in a similar Citizens Advice or equivalent advice role, proven through recent employment or volunteer roles. Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate to enable them to carry out their role.

The role will include outreach work and applicants will ideally hold a full driver’s license and own or have access to a vehicle.

At Citizens Advice 1066 we provide free, confidential and independent advice to help people overcome their problems. We work to fix the underlying causes of these problems and we are a voice for people on the issues that matter to them. We value diversity, champion equality and challenge discrimination.
