Our IT&D Enterprise Application Portfolio (EAP) Team is part of the Orbis partnership, which encompasses East Sussex County Council, Surrey County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council. The purpose of this partnership is to deliver greater value for our councils, residents, and customers by increasing efficiencies and exploiting the benefits of people, resources, and technology.

Our dedicated ESCC Enterprise Application Portfolio (EAP) Team provide support to key IT&D Applications that keep some of the East Sussex County Council core teams working when it comes to IT.  Our team are integral when it comes to keeping staff working with vital applications, providing functioning, and upgraded systems for the staff.

With a diverse range of different technology and software supporting our staff to do their jobs, the queries and support needed is often varied. This post will have a focus on one particular system: Synergy. You will be the first point of contact when teams using this system experience issues and difficulties.

On a day-to-day basis you will be putting your IT knowledge and customer service skills to the test by providing system support to help solve queries working where needed with system users and suppliers.  We also welcome and encourage our team to contribute and develop ideas that mean we are always getting better and enhancing the service we provide.

You will be well supported when it comes to training and development by a friendly and positive team who pride themselves on delivering a great and appreciated service to the council.

You will need to make sure that you are able to:

  • Work effectively in partnership with the systems owners, as an expert advisor, and an operating participant in the managing board.
  • Assist system owners to make best use of the system to achieve outcomes for families in East Sussex.
  • Be proactive in improving system capability and performance to support education priorities in East Sussex.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
