The ESCC Schools Finance Team, provides financial advice, guidance, system support and training to schools in and around East Sussex. Our busy, dynamic and friendly team are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join us delivering and developing our valued service into the future.

This interesting and varied role will give you the opportunity to provide vital support and guidance to Bursars, Business Managers and other school staff. Your role will involve providing well-informed advice to support schools’ day to day financial processes and management, you will be keen on process improvement and supporting the effective use of technology to save time and perform tasks efficiently.

The team is based in Lewes where we come together regularly. We work in a hybrid way both in the office and remotely, but County Hall in Lewes remains our primary work base and we value coming together as a team particularly in support of newer members. The ability to work remotely will be dependent on training, experience and ability to provide effective support.  From time to time your role may also involve travel to schools in East Sussex and surrounding areas.

If you are a committed and proactive team player, have some knowledge of financial management (ideally in schools), have strong IT skills (particularly excel), excellent communication skills and a real commitment to customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
