Hours of work: Full-time Teacher's Hours
Working pattern: Full-time

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009. 

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations. 

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.

St John's Meads Church of England Primary school are seeking to appoint a dedicated and conscientious full-time class teacher.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a skilled classroom practitioner who is passionate about learning and believes in the potential of all children.
  • They will show empathy and understanding of the Christian ethos of the school and be a highly organised, hardworking and professional role model.
  • They will have a positive attitude and be prepared to take initiative with high expectations of themselves and all school pupils.
  • They will need exceptional interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
