Wivelsfield Primary School  and Nursery has a vacancy for a part time SEN Assistant  to start as soon as possible. Ideally you will work approximately 29 hours/week from 8.40 am to 3.15pm, but we can be flexible.

Situated in the heart of Wivelsfield Green, near both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, the school is single form entry. It  benefits from  spacious modern  premises, with  extensive  grounds,  and is  a very popular, oversubscribed school. We  pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming with a strong ‘community ethos'.

You will work to support children with additional needs in whole class settings, in groups and individually. It is likely your time will be divided between more than one child. If you enjoy working in a happy environment,  with children who need extra help to achieve their best and where  no two days are the same, this could be the job for you.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a genuine passion for working to achieve the best outcomes for children with SEND
  • be a flexible team player
  • be committed to promoting high standards in all aspects of school life
  • be keen to engage in continuing professional development

The school will offer:

  • a happy and supportive environment in spacious modern premises
  • a school that is forward thinking
  • good professional development opportunities
