St Mary's School, as part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust, is a 'Good' all-boys SEMH Special school, in Marynards Green/Horam, and we are seeking to recruit two permanent Teaching Assistant 2 (with midday supervisor responsibilities included) into our team. We are passionate about creating a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters respect for others, develops resilience, promotes high expectations and prepares young males for successful futures.

The main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources. We are looking for applicants who are innovative, enthusiastic and flexible, as well as having a keen interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.

     
The working pattern is five days per week, Monday – Friday, from at least 08:30/45am to 15/15:30pm, term time only. Working hours to be discussed at interview and agreed on successful appointment. We are a friendly and supportive team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch.
