We are looking for a caring, patient and motivated individual to join our team to work 2:1 supporting a cheeky, playful young man who is thoughtful, excitable and warm-hearted. He lives with his family and is mainly supported whilst his parents are at work. Your role will be to give him daily opportunities to engage in activities he enjoys and that enhance his wellbeing such as exploring his community, providing sensory engagement,  developing his independent living skills, arts & crafts, baking and listening to music. He loves listening to the drums being played!  As well as encouraging physical activities like going to the park, walking and swimming.

He is autistic, has a severe learning disability, epilepsy and behaviours which can be described as challenging. Due to the nature of his support needs, you will always be working alongside an experienced member of staff.

He has his own car, so you must be a driver with a full UK driving license.

As a Support Worker in our team, we will offer you:

  • Full-time hours (35.5 hours per week
  • Good rate of pay; starting at £13.00 per hour
  • Sociable working hours which are mainly Monday to Saturday; 8am to 6pm with some evenings and occasional weekends
  • Variable hours
  • A thorough induction programme which is supported by our Team Leader
  • Access to training which will enhance your own skill set and career
  • Initial training in Positive Behaviour Support followed by an opportunity to study at level 4
  • Regular supervision and support by our Team Leader
