Are you be the dynamic manager we are looking for to lead our day service for adults with learning disability based in Eastbourne?

If yes…

You will be instrumental in ensuring our service has a positive impact on the lives of adults with learning disabilities who attend, ensuring clients have opportunities for personal growth and development. As Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the service, ensuring the provision continuously develops and is forward thinking to meet the needs of existing and future clients. The post holder will also lead our bank of Relief Support Workers across Learning Disability Services.

This role involves being part of the out of hours on call rota, where you’ll offer telephone support to our 24/7 Learning Disability Services. An additional payment is made for these duties.

The service is open 4 days a week between 08:00am and 19.30pm offering day services in the community as well as within the building.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a commitment to best practice in social care.
  • Have a positive attitude towards the rights of people with learning disabilities.
  • Are self-motivated.
  • Have experience in budget management.
  • Have kindness, compassion and a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading great service provision and dedicated staff.

To apply for this role please follow the ‘Apply Now’ button. When completing your application be sure to address how you meet all the criteria in the person specification drawing on any relevant work/life experience, education or personal interests.

Interviews will take place in person on Monday 29 April 2024. Clients will be involved in the interview process.

Managing services for adults with a learning disability means you get the opportunity to change people’s perceptions of the clients we support. You will have the unique opportunity to develop services where clients can learn new skills, become more independent and autonomous and make new friends. No two days will be the same in the service and you will have the satisfaction of seeing the clients you support flourish.

We offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page.
