I have been a social worker at many local authorities across the UK and overseas in Australia and without a shadow of doubt, East Sussex is the best place I have worked

Nicola McGeown, Principal Social Worker

A fantastic opportunity to work directly with young people aged 11-17 years and their families in an Outstanding Ofsted rated organisation. This gratifying role is embedded in an incredibly supportive team with skilful experienced managers. Our team work collectively towards building relationships with young people whose experiences include family disruption, homelessness, exploitation, mental health, and non-school attendance. This role is based in the historical town of Lewes, surrounded by the beautiful south downs.

At ESCC we provide extensive support to our social workers and deliver high quality relationship-based practice to our children and families. As a senior social worker you’ll be expected to provide your practice manager with support and be seen as a senior member of the team.

Work with an organisation who possess clear vision, strong leadership and help to create an environment of stability and security for families. We prioritise and focus on the quality of social work practice rather than processes and procedures.
