The Economic Development Team works to help our economy thrive and grow sustainably, supporting businesses to be successful which in turn helps our communities to be more resilient. You’ll take a leading role in developing partnerships and projects that will drive innovation and productivity with the aim of delivering the Council’s objective of driving sustainable economic growth. You’ll be particularly responsible for ensuring the development, viability, assessment and prioritisation of a strong pipeline for new project proposals ready to access external funding and will undertake overall programme management, co-ordination and delivery of specific projects.

You will work with a range of external stakeholders / partners including Borough and District Council partners, private sector businesses, industry bodies, neighbouring local authorities and higher educational institutions as well as working alongside varied internal teams.

In this role you will join a team made up of highly organised and creative individuals, who know how to plan, collaborate, and deliver complex projects. Whilst thinking strategically we also focus on the finer details to ensure that our projects run seamlessly.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
